The tour lands in Sweden

From Dubai to Sweden. The Cupra FIP Tour is moving to Gothenburg, the venue for the first FIP Rise to be played in Sweden: an opportunity for a nation where passion for padel is growing and whose biggest fans include AC Milan champion Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has also invested in padel courts.

«The FIP Rise is a category for the players of the future and for players who have not yet accumulated points in the FIP ranking«, says Fredrik Nordin of Studio Padel, the tournament’s promoter. «So I think it will be a perfect start for Swedish players who want to compete more internationally in the future, and who will also be able to play against opponents they have never had at home«.

The tournament will be played during the weekend at the Bon Padel Arena in Gothenburg, and in total there will be six FIP Rise tournaments held in Sweden during all the year. Two of these tournaments will also include the women’s draw.

Thirteen nations will be represented, with Spanish players Jose Carlos Gaspar and Miguel Gonzalez as the number one seed.
