Gutierrez-Piotto, padel and…pasta

Cristian German Gutierrez and Ignacio Piotto Albornoz were the top seed at the FIP RISE in Porto Sant’Elpidio, and the Argentinians did not fail. With a 6-4 6-1 win over Italian Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta, who had won the tournament last year, Gutierrez and Piotto lifted the trophy in the Marche, place of the CUPRA FIP Tour, played at Ok Sport.
On his Instagram profile, Gutierrez – number 55 in the world rankings – celebrated in a special way: with the Italian flag emoji and a plate of pasta. “Champions in Italy – said Gutierrez -. Me and Nachete (Piotto) are very happy with the way we played and to have won“. This closed a great weekend of padel in Italy, in a season that will see more CUPRA FIP Tour events, starting this week in Cordenons, Friuli.
In the FIP PROMISES in Badajoz, on the other hand, successes for Anselmo Guerrero Alvarez and Cesar Del Cacho Cidoncha (men’s Under 14), Samuel Rivas Garcia and Alejandro Calvo Perez (men’s Under 16), Noe Sanchez and Rodrigo Aza (men’s Under 18), Amaya Sanchez del Viejo and Maria Delgado Medina (women’s Under 14), and Marta Sanchez Falco and Carmen Gomez Dorado (women’s Under 16).
