The draws. ‘Parejas’ revolution in Belgium: so many new pairs on court

After the triumph of Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia and Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay in Doha, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel circuit comes back to Europe with the Lotto Brussels P2, scheduled to take place at the Gare Maritime in the Belgian capital. Where, a year ago, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan won the first title of a pair that would go on to trouble Coello and Tapia. The top two seeds in the men’s draw will be the same, but scrolling through the entry list there are so many new pairs: number 4 will be Juan Lebron and Alex Ruiz, number 6 Martin Di Nenno and Juan Tello, and number 8 Tino Libaak and Javi Garrido. For Coello and Tapia, debut against Belgian wild cards Deloyer/Huysveld, for Chingotto and Galan there are Ruiz/Gil. Possible quarter-finals: Coello/Tapia (1)-Libaak/Garrido (8), Bergamini/Navarro (7)-Yanguas/Nieto (3), Lebron/Ruiz (4)-Di Nenno/Tello (6), Gonzalez/Sanz (5)-Chingotto/Galan (2).

WOMEN No revolution, on the other hand, in the women’s draw, with Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay going for their fifth title of 2025 in Belgium. Brea, by the way, won the tournament last year paired with Bea Gonzalez. There will be 24 pairs starting in the main draw, with the top eight seeds entering the court in the round of 16. Possible quarters: Josemaria/Sanchez (1)-Alonso/Ustero (6), Salazar/Virseda (7)-Ortega/Araujo (4), Gonzalez/Fernandez (3)-Osoro-Castelló (8), Sainz/Llaguno (5)-Brea-Triay (2).
