Clean Sport

The International Padel Federation (FIP) has partnered with the International Testing Agency (ITA) to assist with the independent management of its entire anti-doping program — a move that underscores its strong commitment to clean sport, athlete welfare, and the integrity of professional padel as it grows globally.

Under this agreement, the ITA will assume full responsibility for all areas of the FIP’s anti-doping program, ensuring its independent implementation in strict accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and its International Standards. The program includes the development and implementation of a robust test distribution plan based on a thorough risk assessment tailored to the specificities of padel.

The use of doping substances or doping methods to enhance performance is fundamentally wrong and is detrimental to the overall spirit of sport. Drug misuse can be harmful to an athlete’s health and to other athletes competing in the sport. It severely damages the integrity, image and value of sport, whether or not the motivation to use drugs is to improve performance.

To achieve integrity and fairness in sport, a commitment to a clean field of play is critical. The International Padel Federation (FIP) seeks to maintain the integrity of Padel by running a comprehensive anti-doping program that focuses equally on education/prevention and on testing, with consequences for those who break the rules.
