Aguirre and Alfonso’s world tour ‘Los Magicos’ from Cancun to Miami: the show is guaranteed
March 18, 2025
Portugal, Spain, then two weeks in Mexico, and now the United States. Tolito Aguirre and Gonza Alfonso spread their magic around the world, always ready to go with their suitcases by their side. Since 20 February, the day their incredible journey started, ‘Los Magicos’ have played 20 matches in 26 days, and sometimes they have even played twice in a single day, like yesterday in Miami: but their love for padel (shared by the fans who fill the stands to watch them) and their desire to climb the rankings outweigh any fatigue
Aguirre and Alfonso, less thand 48 hours ago, were in Mexico, playing the final of the P2 in Cancun that they lost to Franco Stupaczuk and Juan Lebron: time to rest a few hours, get on the plane to Florida, leave their bags in the hotel and head to the Miami Beach Convention Center to play not one, but two qualifying rounds at the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 in a few hours. Something similar happened between Sunday, March the 2nd, when they played the final in Gijón, and Tuesday, the 4th, when they debuted in the FIP Platinum in Puebla, on the other side of the world.
A ‘magic’ period just like their nickname. Victory in the FIP Gold in Paredes, the final lost in the P2 in Gijon against ‘Curro’ Cabeza and David Garcia, another title in the FIP Platinum in Puebla and then the defeat in Cancun. But it’s not the result that has shaken the fans’ love for two of the most spectacular players on the circuit, who have climbed the FIP ranking with these latest tournaments: Alfonso, with the Cancun final, has gained 12 positions and climbed to number 35; for Tolito, on the other hand, a +13 that takes him to number 40. With the promise of climbing and travelling again.
