Ponta Delgada, Sintes and Moragues win the second tournament of 2025

Marc Sintes and Nacho Moragues keep winning. The very young pair, born in 2006 and 2005, respectively, triumphed in the FIP Silver Ponta Delgada (Portugal). This is their second victory of 2025, following the FIP Bronze La Cala in January, where they won the final against the pair Reca-Lopez with a score of 6-2 6-3. This win shows their great form and pushes them even higher in the FIP ranking, also thanks to their successes in the FIP Star Kaunas and FIP Rise Oeiras in the last months of 2024.

“We had an amazing weekend where we managed to win the tournament by playing 4 matches at a high level and feeling great. Now we keep moving forward like this,” said Marc Sintes after the final.

In the women’s draw, the 80 points in the FIP ranking for the victory went to Ana Catarina Nogueira and Martina Fassio. An explosive pair that represents a true mix of experience and youth between the Portuguese born in 1978 and the Argentine born in 2004. Nogueira and Fassio, in their first international win this year, won the final against Rodriguez-Barrera 7-5 6-4 in a closely contested match.
