Dubai, Bidahorria and Martinez Gomez aiming for revenge after losing the final in Paredes

The second FIP Gold tournament of the season is taking place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The winners will earn 150 points in the FIP ranking. In the women’s draw, made up of 32 pairs, the top seeds are Julieta Bidahorria and Lucia Martinez Gomez, who are seeking their first international title of 2025 after losing the final last week at the FIP Gold Paredes. The second seeds are Barbara Las Heras and Esther Carnicero, ranked 48th and 35th in the FIP ranking, respectively. Eyes will also be on Sara Errani, who, after playing the FIP Silver Melbourne Game4Padel Open with Tathiana Garbin, will now team up with Caterina Baldi, one of Italy’s top padel talents.
In the men’s draw, the top seed is the pair of Portuguese Gustavo Nunes (who recently moved up four places in the ranking to 114th) and Spanish Miguel Solbes (ranked 79th). The second seeds are Simon Vasquez and Adam Axelsson, winners of last week’s FIP Bronze Sweden I Bon Padel. The main draw will begin tomorrow with the first round, and the finals are scheduled for Sunday.
