Padel Asia, Board of Directors appointed. Carraro: “Working to accelerate the development of Padel in Asia”

Following the establishment of Padel Asia, announced by FIP President Luigi Carraro during the 34th General Assembly of the FIP in Doha, Qatar, the Board of Directors of the new Asian continental federation has been officially confirmed. Padel Asia joins Padel Europe and Padel America, sharing the same philosophy and development goals: to strengthen the growth of Padel worldwide by pursuing the goals set by FIP.

 

THE BOARD The Padel Asia Board of Directors is comprised of:

 

Tareq Zainal, Qatar – President

Ismael Al Hashmi, UAE – 1st Vice President

Khalid Al Saad, Saudi Arabia – 2nd Vice President

Omar Al Zanki, Kuwait – Member

Davood Azizi, Iran – Member

Callum Beale, Australia –Member

Donatella Del Gaudio, Italy – Member designated by FIP

Koji Nakatsuka, Japan –Executive Director

 

The headquarters of Padel Asia are in Doha, Qatar.

 

CARRARO “Following the announcement of the establishment of Padel Asia in Doha — during the days when we experienced the excitement of the FIP World Padel Championships and held the 34th General Assembly — in an atmosphere of great harmony and shared goals and strategies, the Board of Directors has been appointed”.

 

“Padel Asia, in line with the framework already established for other continental realities like Padel Europe and Padel America, and in full coordination with the FIP, will work to identify new tools and development initiatives to support the consistent growth of our sport across the Asian continent”.

 

“I also want to emphasize that Padel Asia is open to all federations wishing to join, with the aim of fostering greater coordination among the FIP member countries in Asia and strengthening the structured and widespread growth of Padel worldwide”.

 

ZAINAL “I am pleased to announce the formation of the Board of Directors of Padel Asia. This is an important beginning that lays the foundation for a new phase in the history of Asian Padel. We are committed to dedicating our efforts to achieving a long-term vision of promoting and developing this sport across the continent.”

 

He added: “We look forward to working alongside all board members and national federations. We will also collaborate closely with the International Padel Federation to ensure the coordination of efforts and enhance cooperation on both continental and international levels”.

 

Reflecting on the recent progress, Tareq said: “In recent years, the sport of Padel in Asia has witnessed remarkable growth, and we now bear a significant responsibility to strengthen and sustain this progress by creating a competitive sports environment, encouraging the participation of male and female players in this game, and driving innovation within the sport”.
