Doha, first title for Guerrero-Sanchez. And the setting is stunning!

Jairo Guerrero Escarcena and Pablo Sanchez couldn’t have chosen a better stage to claim their first title on the CUPRA FIP Tour. The FIP Promotion Doha, a men’s category tournament, concluded in Qatar at the magnificent Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, the venue that hosted the FIP World Padel Championships. The Spanish duo, seeded sixth, defeated the top-seeded pair consisting of fellow Spaniard Javier Navarro Perez and Qatari player Mohammed Saadon Alkuwari with a commanding scoreline of 6-0, 6-2 in the final. For Guerrero, 17, and Sanchez, who turned 18 in March, the victory in Qatar earned them 15 points in the FIP ranking. “I’m really happy for my first FIP title. We won four matches, playing at a high level”, said Guerrero, who also took a moment to praise his partner Sanchez: “Your style of play was incredible, and it was amazing for me to share the court with you. I want to thank my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me in achieving this incredible milestone”.
