Manila, the CUPRA FIP Tour also arrives in the Philippines

It’s the week of first times. Not only Portugal, the Philippines too are hosting a CUPRA FIP Tour tournament for the first time. A FIP Rise will be played in the capital Manila with many pairs coming from Europe. Leading the men’s draw will be two Dutchmen, Sten Richters (number 171 in the FIP rankings) and Bram Meijer (173), with Spaniards Sergi Guimet and Joel Olivera seeded number 2.

There is also a Dutchwoman at the top of the women’s draw: she’s Rosalie Van der Hoek (108), who is playing paired with Spanish Carla Fernandez. She’s followed on the entry list by Britons Aimee Gibson and Victoria Nicholas. Qualifying draw is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, with the main draw starting on Friday and concluding on Sunday.
