Lustica Bay, Rodriguez and Belmont on the throne

It was a hard-fought final at the FIP Promotion played in Lustica Bay, Montenegro. It was won by Adrian Rodriguez and Roberto Belmont, who beat number 2 seed Gonzalo Perez and Ricardo Martinez 6-3 6-7 7-6. Rodriguez and Belmont were not among the first eight pairs in the draw, but they managed to overturn the predictions, defeating the number 1 seeded pair, Simone Cremona and Johan Bergeron, in the semifinals. Rodriguez, with this victory, gains nine positions, rising to number 174; Belmont, on the other hand, is now number 213, a jump of 24 positions.
