It was a victory that moves Orsi/Rodriguez into a round of 16 against home players Melania Merino and Esther Carnicero. Over two hours of match time also for Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno (6) to beat Barbara Las Heras and Marta Marrero. Thursday, on the centre court, will be opened by Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez (2), opposing Marta Borrero and Martina Calvo.
