The draws. Coello plays at home. Brea-Ustero new pair

Arturo Coello, number 1 in the FIP ranking and who today qualified for the final of the Rotterdam Premier Padel P1, will live a week in Valladolid that is not like the others. Coello, paired with Agustin Tapia, will play at home in that is the third consecutive round of the Premier Padel circuit, a P2 that follows the P1s in Madrid and Rotterdam. Today the draw for the Oysho Valladolid Premier Padel P2 was made (the main draw will start on Tuesday after the end of the qualifiers), with 32 pairs starting in the men’s tournament and 28 in the women’s, with the novelty represented by the ‘pareja’ formed by Delfi Brea and Andrea Ustero, who decided to join given the physical issues of Ale Alonso and Bea Gonzalez.

MEN Coello and Agustin Tapia will debut against Enrique Goenaga and Arnau Ayats; on the other side of the draw, number 2 seed Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan will start the tournament against Javier Barahona and Teo Zapata. Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebron (3), who were eliminated in the round of 16 in Rotterdam, will start again against wild cards Javier Valdes and Daniel Windahl; finally, Mike Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk (4) will play a pair from the qualifiers. These are the hypothetical quarter-finals: Coello/Tapia (1)-Nieto/Sanz (7), Belasteguin/Tello (8)-Di Nenno/Lebron (3), Yanguas-Stupaczuk (4)-Cardona/Navarro (5), Ruiz-Garrido (6)-Chingotto/Galan (2).

WOMEN In the women’s tournament, Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez (1) drew a pair from the qualifiers or the one formed by Araceli Martinez and Alix Collombon. Number 2 will be Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez, opposing in the round of 16 two qualifiers or Sara Ruiz Soto and Carla Mesa. The number 3s will be Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo: debuts against Agueda Perez and Patri Martinez Fortun or Virginia Riera and Carmen Goenaga, in Valladolid out of the top seeds. For Brea/Ustero there are Giorgia Marchetti and Lea Godallier or two qualifiers, in a draw where the top four seeds will enter directly into the round of 16. Also new to the Spanish tournament is the pair formed by Ana Catarina Nogueira and Claudia Jensen, seeded number 8. Possible quarter-finals: Sanchez/Josemaria (1)-Nogueira/Jensen (8), Castelló/Salazar (5)-Ortega/Araujo (3), Brea/Ustero (4)-Virseda/Osoro (7), Sainz-Llaguno (6)-Triay/Fernandez (2).
