Day 6, Coello-Tapia again vs Chingotto-Galan. Triay-Fernandez, what a comeback!

Chingotto and Galan then caught up with Arturo and Agus, breaking Juanlu Esbri and Lucas Bergamini’s (12) dream 6-2 6-3 in one hour and 2’. But it was still an extraordinary week for them. If for Coello and Tapia it would be the seventh title of the season, Chingotto and Galan are instead chasing the sixth, with Galan having also lifted the trophy in Riyadh paired with Lebron.

WOMEN If among the men the number 1 and 2 seeds will play for the title, among the women the final will be between the number 2 and 3 seeded pairs. Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez, victorious 7-6 6-2 in two hours and 8’ over Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo (4) in two hours and 8’, will have the chance to defend the title they won last year in Madrid. A final that, for Delfi and Bea, has been missing since P1 in Mar del Plata last May. On the other side of the net will be Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez, who, in the only match of the day decided in the third set, overcame FIP number 1 Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez in a comeback. It ended 3-6 6-4 6-1, with Gemma and Claudia chasing their third title of the season after Santiago and Bordeaux; for Brea and Gonzalez it would be their fifth, following their poker of consecutive victories in Puerto Cabello, Bruxelles, Sevilla and Asuncion.
