FIP Rise Porto Sant’Elpidio, Gutierrez and Marti win and fly to Madrid

With a double 6-4 win in the final over Facundo Dominguez and Emilio Sanchez Chamero, Cristian Gutierrez and Carlos Marti won the FIP Rise in Porto Sant’Elpidio (Italy). The Spaniards had been forced to the third set in the semifinals, where they had beaten Denny Cattaneo and Joel Olivera 3-6 6-3 6-3.

Gutierrez gains two positions in FIP ranking, moving up from number 73 to number 71; Marti, on the other hand, rises from 72 to 69. “I’m very happy to have won the first title with Carlos Marti and for the sensations on the court”, said Gutierrez, who is also expected to play with Marti in the first round in the Comunidad de Madrid Premier Padel P1.
