FIP Rise Box to Box, Touly and Ginier Barbier make France happy

A home victory for Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier Barbier: the two Frenchwomen won the FIP Rise Box to Box in Bandol (France), beating 7-6 6-2 number 1 seed Lucia Perez Parra and Ana Dominguez Gracia in the final. “I’ve been told that the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory – Touly said –. After a few months full of obstacles, this title is really a great reward. Congratulations Jessica, thank you for looking for solutions with me over the last few weeks and never giving up. Together we did it and I’m very proud”. “What a pleasure to win this title at home – added Ginier Barbier –. Thanks to the fans in Bandol and congratulations to the organisation for this great tournament: great matches, magnificent playing conditions”.
