Finland Premier Padel P2, day 1. Di Nenno-Lebron and Yanguas-Stupa, new pairs start well

The curiosity to see Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk no longer on the same side of the court was enormous. The two Argentinians debuted with a victory in the Finland Premier Padel P2: Di Nenno, paired with Juan Lebron from the number 1 seed on the draw, suffered through one set before overcoming Javi Rico and Juanlu Esbri 7-5 6-0, while Stupaczuk and Yanguas – number 2 in the seeding – eliminated Lucho Capra and Maxi Sanchez with a score of 7-5 6-2 in what was the most awaited match of the day. Javi Garrido and Alex Ruiz (5) also did well among the pairs at their first tournament together, with a 6-4 6-1 win over Aris Patiniotis and Cristian Gutierrez, while the marathon match of the day was won 7-6 3-6 7-6 in two hours and 14 minutes by Alex Arroyo and Sanyo Gutierrez (8) over Jairo Bautista and Fran Guerrero. Tomorrow (schedule will start at 10 a.m. local time, 9 a.m. CET), in the last match on the centre court, it’s Paquito Navarro and Pablo Cardona’s time, opposing Victor Mena and José Solano Marmolejo, a pair coming from the qualifiers.
