Finland Premier Padel P2, the draws. Top seeded pairs make their debut in Nokia

The Finland Premier Padel P2, with the main draw starting on Tuesday 30 in Nokia, marks a new beginning for many of the world’s top players. For the top three pairs in the men’s tournament, new partnerships will begin, and the curiosity to see players on court with different partners than in previous tournaments is enormous. The number 1 seed will be Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebron: Javi Rico and Juanlu Esbri will be the first opponents of the Argentine and ‘Lobo’. At the bottom half, however, there is the other former ‘Superpibe’, Franco Stupaczuk, paired with Mike Yanguas: for them, immediately a tough test against Maxi Sanchez and Lucho Capra, who had played some Premier Padel tournaments as seeded players. Paquito Navarro and Pablo Cardona – European champion in Cagliari with Spain – will be number 3 and will face José Antonio Diestro and Javi Leal, also European champion. Also new are pairs number 5 (Javi Garrido and Alex Ruiz) and 7 (Momo Gonzalez and Edu Alonso). Potential quarterfinals: Di Nenno/Lebron (1)-Garrido/Ruiz (5), Gonzalez/Alonso (7)-Tello/Belasteguin (4), Cardona/Navarro (3)-Arroyo/Gutierrez (8), Nieto-Sanz (6)-Yanguas/Stupaczuk (2).

WOMEN Less new pairs in the women’s draw, which will see Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, coming from their 32nd paired title in Malaga, leading the draw. For the number 1 in the FIP ranking, a pair from the qualifiers or wild cards Saarteinen/Sillanpaa. On the opposite side, Marta Ortega (European champion with Spain in Cagliari) and Sofia Araujo, winners in the P2 in Genova and expected in the round of 16 of the 28-pair draw by Marchetti/Godallier or Canovas/Ruiz Soto. Jessica Castelló and Claudia Jensen complete the podium: for them, in the second round (the first four seeds benefit from a bye), Collombon/Bidahorria or Perez/Las Heras. Talavan/Nogueira or Caldera/Rufo for Lucia Sainz and Patty Llaguno (4), who are also (like Caldera/Rufo themselves) coming from their triumph in Cagliari. Potential quarter-finals: Josemaria/Sanchez (1)-Riera/Goenaga (6), Alonso/Ustero (7)- Castelló/Jensen (3), Sainz/Llaguno (8)-Salazar/Virseda (5), Guinart/Rodriguez (8)-Ortega/Araujo (2).
