FIP European Padel Championships, day 2. Men Spain, Italy and France on top with super Portugal

The day 2 of the FIP European Padel Championships also went into the archives, with four teams with full points (and six wins out of six) after the first two ties. In Group A, Spain defeated Croatia thanks to Ruiz/Arroyo, Cardona/Zapata and Rico/Gonzalez, without losing a set, in a group that also saw Germany’s 2-1 success over Monaco. In Group B, Italy celebrated in front of their home crowd with a 3-0 win over Switzerland: successes for Patiniotis/Di Giovanni, Cremona/Cassetta and Sinicropi/Dominguez. In the other match, 2-1 by Great Britain over Hungary.
In Group C, the third team with full points was France, which won all three matches against Austria, with Maigret/Bergeron, Joris/Vanbauce and Leygue/Blanque; the Netherlands won the tie against Poland 2-1 in the decisive match. In Group D, top seeds Sweden were defeated 3-0 by Portugal, led by Fazendeiro/Perry, Luque/Araujo and the Deus brothers. In the other match, victory (3-0) for Belgium against Denmark. Tomorrow from 4 p.m. the day 3, the last before the knockout round.
