FIP European Padel Championships, day 1 men. Top seeds don’t fail: Sweden-Portugal big match on Tuesday

European best teams start the FIP European Padel Championships with a victory in the men’s draw. After the women’s 3-0 in the morning, defending champions Spain also started with three wins among the men, all in two sets: good debuts against Monaco for Ruiz/Zapata (6-1 6-3), Arroyo/Cardona (6-2 6-2) and Diestro/Rico (6-0 6-1), but 3-0 in Group A also for Germany over Croatia. In Group B, the FIP European Padel Championships also began with a 3-0 win for the hosts Italy, who overcame Hungary with Graziotti/Patiniotis, Dominguez/Sinicropi and Cassetta/Cremona; in the same group, Great Britain also did well over Switzerland with the same score.

In Group C, France suffered especially in the first match of the tie, but still managed to beat the Netherlands (3-0), in a group in which Poland also took an important step towards the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over Austria. In Group D, finally, 3-0 victories for Sweden and Portugal over Denmark and Belgium. Tomorrow, from 4 p.m., the day 2 of the group stage: Sweden-Portugal will be the big match.
