FIP Rise D-Bay, Seurin and Vives try to win in the third different continent

The North Coast of Marsa Matrouh (Egypt) will host a stop on the CUPRA FIP Tour: the combined FIP Rise D-Bay will be played, with a 28-pair men’s draw (in which the top four seeds will go straight into the round of 16) and a 13-pair women’s draw, with the top three seeds having a first-round bye.

Spaniards Adrian Ronco Lopez (number 131 in the FIP ranking) and Javier Rodriguez Marquez (157) lead the entry list among the men, with Frenchmen Manuel Vives and Julien Seurin who, after winning last week’s FIP Promotion in Chiba, will try to win a CUPRA FIP Tour title on the third different continent in this 2024. Egyptian Youssef Hossam, who with Argentine Julian Lacamoire forms the number 3 seed, will play at home.

Among the women, Portuguese Margarida Fernandes – number 117 in the FIP ranking – and Italian Marianela Montesi (116) lead the seeding, followed by Dutchwoman Rosalie Van der Hoek and Frenchwoman Elodie Invernon. The first matches of the main draw will take place this evening, with the round of 16 scheduled for Thursday, the quarters and semifinals on Friday and the finals on Saturday.
