BNL Italy Major Premier Padel, day 2: feat of Bautista and Guerrero. All the big in action on Wednesday

On the day 2 of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel, the feat came late in the evening. Jairo Bautista, number 40 in the FIP ranking, and Francisco Guerrero, number 51, defeated Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz, the number 9 seed and coming from the title in Bordeaux. In the next round tomorrow, Marchetti and Godallier will take on Carolina Orsi and Carolina Navarro (seeded number 14) in the first match on the Centre court at 9 a.m.. Orsi and Marchetti, one year ago, won the gold medal as a pair in the women’s competition at the European Games in Krakow. Tomorrow all the top seeded pairs will be on the court. Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria (1) will be on court at 6 p.m. for the third match on the Centre Court, while Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez (2) will face qualifiers Marta Arellano and Carla Castillo in the second match on Pietrangeli 1. Virginia Riera and Sofia Araujo, seeded number 6, will face Italy’s Chiara Pappacena and Spain’s Xenia Clascà, who beat Raquel Piltcher (Brazil) and Carmen Castillon (Spain) 6-2, 7-6 today.
