The curiosity for Marta Marrero’s return to the court was massive. The former world number 1, returning after maternity leave, paired with Aranzazu Osoro to beat Carolina Orsi and Daiara Valenzuela 6-3 6-4, qualifying for the round of 16 of the Betclic Bordeaux Premier Padel P2. “What a thrill to feel like a professional player again – said the Spanish –. MEN Good debut in the men’s draw for the number 1 seed Fernando Belasteguin and Juan Tello, who defeated Miguel Semmler and Nacho Vilariño in one hour and 25 minutes with a score of 6-3 7-6; in the round of 16 are Javi Leal and Lucas Campagnolo. The number 3 seed, Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz, took an hour and 13 minutes to beat Chipi Muñoz and Javi Garcia (6-2 6-4); also ok were Maxi Sanchez and Sanyo Gutierrez (4), 6-0 7-6 over wild cards Leygue/Patiniotis.
