FIP European Padel Championships Qualifiers, day 2 Portugal celebrates twice. Estonia and Switzerland ahead in women’s draw

The day 2 of the FIP European Padel Championships Qualifiers in Oslo (Norway), has given the first verdicts. Four teams have already qualified for the final phase scheduled to take place in Cagliari (Italy) from July 22th to 27th. The only nation already sure of passing the round in the men’s tournament is Portugal, which after Finland also beat Czechia. Everything is still open, however, in the other five groups, which allocate as many places for the final phase: everything will be decided on Sunday in the third ‘tie’.

WOMEN Portugal also celebrated in the women’s tournament: two wins out of two, against Montenegro and Hungary. But it was also an unforgettable day for Estonia, who, in Group A (composed by three national teams), repeated their victory on the day 1 against Lithuania against hosts Norway. Norway will still have a chance to qualify on the decisive day, as the top two in each group will enter the final phase of the FIP Women’s European Padel Championships. Already sure to be in Cagliari is Switzerland, after their double victory over Austria and Poland.
