The show has begun at the Movistar Arena in Santiago. After the end of the qualifying rounds, the first six matches of the men’s draw of the Banco de Chile Santiago Premier Padel P1 were played for a tournament that closes the trio of events in South America of the Premier Padel circuit after Asunción and Mar del Plata.

On the centre court, the future of Argentinean padel and those who helped write its history took turns. Tino Libaak and Leo Augsburger defeated Cristian Gutierrez and Jorge Ruiz 6-4 4-6 6-4, then it was Miguel Lamperti‘s turn, who paired with fellow Argentine Juan Cruz Belluati beat 6-1 6-3 Chilean wild cards Cristobal Martinez and Cristobal Molina. It was also a special day for Italians Aris Patiniotis and Facundo Dominguez, who with a double 7-5 win over Perino/Garcia Rodrigo earned themselves the second round against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, the pair of this moment.

Today the tournament gets into full swing, with the start of the women’s draw (Aguilar-Manquillo, Piltcher-Castillon, Vano-Blanco and Polo-Arruabarrena the qualified pairs) and with the Santiago audience trying to support local players to whom the organisation of the Banco de Chile Santiago Premier Padel P1 has awarded wild cards: for Gianina Minieri and Gabriela Roux Vidal the challenge against qualifiers Blanco/Vano, then it will be Ignacio Andres Lehyt and Sebastian Munoz’s turn against Nachi Sager and Salva Oria, and finally Carlos Zarhi who, paired with Argentine Axel Wiliam Guevara, will face Miguel Angel Solbes and Carlos Marti.
