FIP Promotion Giulianova, encore of Martinez-Serrano. Pirraglia and Bruno beat Abbate and Graziotti

It was two more Italians, Joshua Pirraglia and Michele Bruno, who stopped Flavio Abbate and Giulio Graziotti, great protagonists in the CUPRA FIP Tour 2024, from repeating in Giulianova the title of a week ago in another FIP Promotion, the one in Teramo. Pirraglia and Bruno – who were the number 5 seed in the draw – won with a score of 6-1 3-6 6-3. “In every match we were able to express our best level – said Pirraglia, who plays the Italian championship with Graziotti -. The final was beautiful, a battle on every ball against two friends who were very good throughout the tournament and to whom I extend my compliments. Michele, you were a beast: thank you for always fighting and believing. Everyone who is close to me knows how much I have suffered this last period: this victory is for all of you who have been close to me in the most difficult moments, thank you from the bottom of my heart”.

Raising the trophy in the women’s draw were again the Spanish Aida Martinez and Carla Serrano, who had also won last week’s tournament in Teramo, a town not far from Giulianova. “I’m happy for this result, now we hope to continue like this – the happiness of Serrano, who gains one position and rises to number 112 in the FIP ranking, with Martinez number 105 –. A special mention to our friends from Giulianova: it was a real pleasure to play here, it felt like being at home”.
