FIP Promotion Sharjah, a top 100 ranking at the start: it’s Carla Fitó

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to the UAE with a FIP Promotion, the one in Sharjah, which includes both the men’s and women’s draw. Among the men, leading the entry list are Italians Simone Cremona and Lorenzo Di Giovanni, respectively number 121 and 125 in the FIP ranking. The number 2 seeded players, on the other hand, are Spaniards Sergio Icardo (104) and Francisco Jurado Sosa (473). Completing the podium are Spaniard Javier Navarro Perez (136) and Qatari Mohammed Saadon Alkuwari (158).

Among the women, of note is the presence of Carla Fitó, top 100 in the FIP ranking (she’s number 93), who is leading the draw paired with French Carla Touly (104). They are followed by Germany’s Victoria Kurz and Denise Hoefer, paired at number 135. After the end of the qualifying draw, the main draw will start on Thursday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
