FIP Rise Metepec, what a jump in the FIP ranking for Salazar Morales and Corona
April 15, 2024Pedro Araujo and Antonio Luque started as the number 1 seed at the FIP Rise Metepec in Mexico and didn’t disappoint expectations. The Portuguese and the Spaniard lifted the trophy, losing a set in the final to Matias Almada and Argañaras but coming back with a score of 1-6 6-4 6-3. Araujo, after the final of the FIP Rise in Dubai, thus wins a CUPRA FIP Tour title paired with Luque who a few days ago had stopped in the semifinals in the FIP Rocks Lane.
Winning the title in the women’s draw, however, were Mexico’s Fernanda Salazar Morales and Adriana Corona. Salazar and Corona, with this success, gain an impressive 636 positions in the FIP ranking, reaching number 190.
