FIP Ranking, Coello, Ari and Paula on top. What a jump for Yanguas, Garrido and Fernandez!

After just one week, Arturo Coello is back at number 1 in the FIP ranking. The Spaniard, thanks to his success in the Ooredoo Qatar Major Premier Padel, has regained the top of the world rankings, which from this year will be unified like the professional circuit and the season’s calendar. Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan dropped to 2nd, with Agustin Tapia – Coello’s partner – moving up from 5th to 4th. In the Top 30, the most important jump forward is that of the finalists of the first Major of the season: Miguel Yanguas rises from position number 20 to number 13 (+7), Javi Garrido from number 21 to number 15 (+6).

The top of the women’s FIP ranking didn’t change, with Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria –winners in both Riyadh and Doha – consolidating their supremacy. The top seven positions remain unchanged, with Claudia Fernandez (new partner of Gemma Triay, confirmed at number 3) who, thanks to the final reached in Qatar, rises from position 21 to 16 (+5). In the top 10, Tamara Icardo rises from 10th to 8th place.
