FIP Promotion Cairo, Seurin looks for another title

Not only Premier Padel. Two tournaments of the CUPRA FIP Tour, both in the FIP Promotion category, are scheduled this weekend. At the Cairo Stadium, play will take place under the Pyramids, with Egypt hosting a men’s draw of 25 pairs and a women’s one of eight. Leading the men’s entry list is French Julien Seurin, number 182 in the FIP ranking, who will be looking for his third success of the season on the CUPRA FIP Tour after those in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

His partner changes from January: Seurin will play with another Frenchman, Philemon Raichman, in Cairo. Number 2 seeded Dutch Thijs Roper and Egyptian Georges Wakim. Among the women, Germany’s Denise Hoefer and Victoria Kurz, world number 127, are the leaders. Thursday’s first round is scheduled, Friday’s round of 16 and quarters, Saturday’s semi-finals and finals.
