Riyadh Season Premier P1, Neymar on Central Court to admire Coello/Tapia and Ortega/Triay

A star to admire the stars. The feeling between footballers and padel is nothing new and this morning it was Neymar who gave further proof of it. Al Hilal and Brazilian national team number 10 appeared on the Central Court of the Riyadh Season Premier P1 to witness the tournament debut of two of the most eagerly awaited pairs, that consisting of FIP ranking number one Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia in the men’s draw and Marta Ortega and Gemma Triay in the women’s.

Basketball cap and sunglasses, Neymar – who has never hidden his passion for padel – first witnessed the debut of the two number 3 seeded players, who, after conceding the opening set to Merino Saez and Saiz Vallejo, left just three games to their compatriots and won in three sets. Then he also applauded the number 2 seeded men’s pair, Coello and Tapia, who needed only two sets to overcome the Spaniards Ruiz and Cardona, who came from the qualifiers.

And at the end of their match, ‘O’ Ney’ exchanged a few impressions with Coello and Tapia (winners of four Premier Padel titles in 2023, in Rome, Madrid, Mendoza and Paris), arousing the attention and curiosity of the fans present. Who knows if Neymar, in his second season in the Saudi Pro League after having made the fortunes of Santos, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (and Brazil, with more than 100 caps) with over 350 goals scored, did not ask for some advice on how to be at the top on the padel court as well…
