First South American stage of the CUPRA FIP Tour

The 2024 season of the CUPRA FIP Tour also starts in South America. At the weekend, a FIP Rise will be played in Viña del Mar (Chile) with two draws: a men’s 32-pair draw and a women’s 12-pair draw, with Chileans Gabriela Roux Vidal and Gianina Minieri and compatriots Kimberley Ahumada Carrasco and Catalina Arancibia the first two seeds.
Among the men, however, the players with the highest FIP ranking are Britain’s Christian Medina Murphy (138) and Spain’s Belar Vera Lopez (126). On the other side of the draw, as number 2 seed, are Spanish Pepe Aliaga and Daniel Martinez Otero.
The tournament will be played at the Club del Bosque: on Friday the first round of the main draw, on Saturday the round of 16 and quarterfinals, on Sunday the semifinals and the finals.
