After Rafter here is another star: Aga Radwanska makes her debut
January 26, 2024It’s a CUPRA FIP Tour for big stars. After the two tournaments played in Australia by Pat Rafter, in the FIP PROMOTION La Cala scheduled for this weekend in Finestrat (Spain) the Polish Agnieszka Radwanska debuts in the circuit organised by the International Padel Federation. A former WTA World No. 2, winner of 20 career titles (plus two in doubles) and finalist at Wimbledon in 2012, she started to play padel some time ago: there are some videos on YouTube in which ‘Aga’ tries her hand at another racket than the one that has been with her for all the life, but now there is a lot of curiosity to see her between the glasses.
In Spain, Radwanska will play with Marta Domachowska (former tennis player like Aga) not before 5 p.m on Court B of the Padel Indoor La Cala, which hosts the men’s and women’s draw of the FIP PROMOTION from today until Sunday. Leading the entry list, among the men, are Javi Rico (number 28 in the ranking) and Juanlu Esbri (58); among the women, Cristina Carrascosa Cazorla (108) and Amanda Lopez Moral (106). But all the eyes will be focused on Aga Radwanska.
