FIP RISE Qatar, Back to back for Gonzalez and Luque

Two titles in one week. After Kuwait, José Luis Gonzalez and Antonio Luque also won in Qatar. The two Spaniards won the FIP RISE in Doha, but the final at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex was not the same as the week before, thanks to the Portuguese brothers Miguel and Nuno Deus, who in the semifinals stopped the run of another pair of brothers, Pedro and Alvaro Melendez Amaya.

Gonzalez and Luque, number one seed on the draw, gave up only six games (6-4 6-2) to the ‘Deus Brothers’ in the final, ending the tournament without losing a set. “Two titles in a row, we are happy to reach the goals we set ourselves thanks to an excellent level – the winners said –. Now ready for the Milano Premier Padel”. Before that, however, Gonzalez and Luque will split their time for the other tournament scheduled in Doha, the FIP STAR, which starts on Wednesday after the end of the qualifiers.
