At the weekend double event in Spain and the Netherlands
October 27, 2023There are two FIP PROMISES scheduled this weekend. The circuit for the ‘next gen’ of padel stops in Spain, in Gran Canaria (at the Club de Padel de la Calzada) and in the Netherlands, at the Padel Centrum Noord Limburg in Venray.
In Gran Canaria there are five round robins: Under 14 (round robin of five pairs), Under 16 (seven pairs divided into two groups, the first two of each group go through to the semifinals) and Under 18 men’s (two groups of four, same formula as the Under 16), Under 16 and Under 18 women’s, both with the round robin formula of four pairs. On court, only players coming from Spain, with the exception of Italian Andrea Forti.
In Venray, however, there will be a ‘classic’ knockout draw for the men’s Under 14s (with Chilean Vicente Soto and Spaniard Aaron Garcia as the number 1 seed) and a three-pair round robin for the Under 16s; among the women, there will be a three-pair round robin for both the Under 14s and the Under 16s.
