Trophy to the “Deus Brothers” and “Las Aidas”

A month and a half after the FIP RISE in Houten, the Portuguese brothers Nuno and Miguel Deus also won the FIP PROMOTION in Beniganim, Spain. The ‘Deus brothers’, who started as the fifth seed in the draw and had been forced into the third set in both the quarters and semifinals, defeated Alberto Garcia Jimenez and José Roman Martinez Sanchis (3) 7-6 6-1 in the final. “We really do the most beautiful profession in the world – said Nuno and Miguel –. Who would have thought we would be so well received here these days. Winning is always gratifying, but to feel everyone’s affection is really special”.
Among the women, however, the title went to “Las Aidas”, Aida Gonzalez Vila and Aida Martinez Sanjuan, the number 2 seed, thanks to a 6-3 6-1 victory in the final over surprises Blanca Arriola and Maria Erroz
