Coello/Tapia and Chingotto/Navarro, will it be a rematch of the Rome final?

The P1 Premier final in Madrid may still be a rematch of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel final in Rome. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia on one side and Fede Chingotto and Paquito on the other are still in the running for a spot in the deciding match. And they are also the highest ranked seed, since after the elimination of Lebron and Galan (1) in the round of 16 came the withdrawal of the number 2 on the draw, Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno, which came in the second set of the match against Momo Gonzalez and Sanyo Gutierrez. Stupa, at 7-5 3-2 to his opponents, suffered a wrist injury after a fall while attempting to play a ball out of the court. Gonzalez and Gutierrez, therefore, advance to the semifinals, where they will find Chingotto and Navarro, who overcame Moyano/Gil 6-1 6-3 in the evening.

On the other side, Coello and Tapia had some problems: after winning the first set (6-1) against Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz – who defeated Ruiz/Tello in the round of 16 – Rome’s champions were surprised in the second, before coming out on top by dominating the deciding set (6-1 2-6 6-2 the final score).

In the semifinals, Coello and Tapia will face Maxi Sanchez and Lucho Capra, who continue their great tournament thanks to 6-4 6-4 over Lucas Bergamini and Victor Ruiz
