The FIP PROMOTION in Marbella celebrated two Spanish pairs. In the men’s draw, victory for the number 2 seed Miguel Melero Bernal and Manuel Prado, who at the end of a very balanced final defeated 6-0 2-6 7-6 Marcos Jimenez Escobar and Antonio Varo Ramos, the real surprise of the tournament. “A memorable week” said the two winners. In the women’s draw, however, victory went to Laura Lujan and Elena De La Rosa, also from Spain: a clear path, that of the number 3 seed, who lifted the trophy without losing a set, finishing with a double 7-5 to Almudena Marchena and Natividad Lopez.
