Santa Maria, Home win for Abbud De Barros-Cirne in Brazil

It was a celebration for Brazil at the FIP Bronze Santa Maria, played at the same time as the FIP Silver. The winners were local favorites Alessandra Abbud De Barros and Cristina Cirne, who beat Rosalie Van der Hoek and Camille Sireix in the final with a score of 6-1 1-6 7-5.

The two players, ranked 157 and 175 in the FIP rankings, got their first international win of 2025. Last year, they also won together at the FIP Promotion of Curitiba II.

“The final was very tough, but we are happy we won. Now we have to keep playing like this,” said Cristina Cirne after the victory.
