Metepec, First international win for young players Garcia Trabanco-Padilla

Alberto Garcia Trabanco and Jose Padilla won the FIP Silver tournament in Metepec. The two young players won 7-6 6-4 against the French top seeds Bergeron-Blanquè (who won the FIP Bronze in Hong Kong and the FIP Bronze in Manila in March). Both born in 2005, this is their first international title. It was only Garcia Trabanco’s fourth time playing a CUPRA FIP Tour event between 2024 and 2025.

“I’m very, very happy to win my first FIP title. It was a great tournament for us. Thanks and congratulations to Alberto for the amazing tournament he played. Now we’ll focus on the next tournaments and try to win again,” said Jose Padilla after the final.

In the women’s draw, the winners were Catarina Santos and Camilla Ramme, who also won the FIP Bronze in Curitiba the week before. They won the final against Serrano-Fito with a score of 6-1 7-5.
