Egypt III, Third win in 2025 for Jose Luis Gonzalez in Cairo

Jose Luis Gonzalez is once again the champion in Cairo. The 1997-born player won the third FIP Silver tournament in Egypt this year, together with Alvaro Melendez.

This third win brings Gonzalez to nine total titles in the CUPRA FIP Tour, just behind Marco Cassetta (who played with him in the first two Egypt tournaments) and Flavio Abbate, who both have ten. The key victory came in the final against the top seeds Denis Perino and Mario Huete Hernandez, with a score of 6-3 6-0.

“We reached the tough goal of winning the tournament here in Egypt, improving more and more and playing at a good level. I was very happy to play a tournament again with Alvaro. We had a lot of fun on and off the court. Now we go back home to keep training for the next tournaments,” said Jose Luis Gonzalez after the final win.
