Day 2. All the stars in the round of 16. And Cristiano Ronaldo is watching…

The crowd that filled the Gare Maritime Tour&Taxis on the first two days of the Premier Padel Lotto Brussels P2 will do this again today, when the top four pairs in the women’s draw will also take the court. With her victory in the Doha Major, Gemma Triay has set her sights on the top position in the FIP ranking: paired with Delfi Brea, the Spanish triumphed in Gijon, Cancun and Miami, before taking 2,000 points that brought her within 560 points of Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, who will try to win in Belgium to ward off danger. The tournament gets into full swing, with Paula and Ari awaited on the centre court by Carolina Orsi and Nuria Rodriguez; for Brea and Triay, on the other hand, the challenge to Lucia Martinez Gomez and Lorena Rufo, scheduled as the second match of the afternoon session starting at 5 p.m. CET.

MEN Before and after Delfi and Gemma, the first pairs of the men’s draw will take the court. Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, defending champions in Brussels, will face Fran Guerrero and Jairo Bautista after beating Victor Ruiz and Xisco Gil 7-6 6-4. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, meanwhile, will close out the day against Edu Alonso and Alex Arroyo after debuting 6-2 6-1 in 42 minutes to local wild cards Deloyer and Huysveld on a day observed by a special spectator: padel fan Cristiano Ronaldo, who shared an Instagram story in front of the TV, watching the action live from Brussels.
