Cyprus I, Nati Lopez Diaz aims for the win record in the CUPRA FIP Tour

The CUPRA FIP Tour is back in Cyprus after last season’s first historic FIP Silver. This weekend, the FIP Bronze Cyprus I will take place, with both men’s and women’s draws.

The top men’s seeds are Flavio Abbate and Alvaro Montiel, ranked 103 and 111 in the FIP ranking. They want to win again after their victory in the FIP Silver in Bristol and the final they lost in the FIP Silver in Cyprus last week. On the other side of the draw are Giulio Graziotti (former partner of Abbate) and Marcos Cordoba, ranked 127 and 145.

In the women’s draw, the top seeds are Aida Martinez and Marcella Koek, ranked 82 and 71 in the FIP ranking. On the other side of the draw are Spanish players Nati Lopez Diaz (finalist in the FIP Bronze in Houten) and Lucia Garcia (winner of the FIP Silver Mediolanum Padel Cup in Rome). Born in 1997 and 2004, they are two of the most successful players in the CUPRA FIP Tour. If she wins, Nati Lopez Diaz will become the player with the most titles: nine.

The tournament will take place in Ayia Napa (Cyprus) from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th, and will award 40 points for the FIP ranking.
