Caltanissetta, Cassetta aims for a streak of consecutive wins in his Italy

He has achieved a historic record, but he still wants to make history in padel. Marco Cassetta, with his win at the FIP Bronze in Kaunas (third consecutive victory in the last tournaments played), became the first padel player in the world to win 10 tournaments on the CUPRA FIP Tour. However, the Italian still wants to surprise everyone and has the chance to do so in his Italy: he is registered, along with Josè Luis Gonzalez, for the FIP Silver in Caltanissetta taking place this weekend. The Italian-Spanish pair will compete in a men’s draw led by Juanlu Esbri and Salva Oria, numbers 26 and 59 in the FIP ranking. On the other side of the seeding, there is another Spanish pair formed by Gonzalo Rubio and Pablo Lijó.

In the women’s draw, the number one seeded pair is made up of the Spaniards Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros, numbers 42 and 48 in the FIP ranking. The number two seeded pair is formed by Sandra Bellver and Lea Godallier, numbers 56 and 58.

The competition will take place from Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6 in Caltanissetta (Italy) and will offer 80 points for the winners.
