The American Padel dream: the race for Wild Cards begins for the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1

The United States Padel Association (USPA) announced the top players competing in the Wild Card Tournament of the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1. Through this Wild Card Tournament, Miami Premier Padel P1 has allocated Wild Cards for each gender division, providing unprecedented opportunities for American players to compete at the highest level of professional padel.
The Wild Card Tournament will be held at Epic Padel Athletic Club in Sunrise, Florida. Matches will begin at 12 noon on Friday, March 14th, and conclude on Saturday, March 15th.
Fernando Belasteguin, Tournament Director for the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1 shared: “I am very happy that players from the United States have the opportunity to compete for wild cards. I have always understood that in sports you have to earn opportunities on the field. I have no doubt that helping American players will give us greater visibility to the sport and enable it to continue to grow strongly in the United States”.
Charlie Moon, Tournament Director for the Wild Card Tournament, stated. “It’s our honor to be part of USA padel history. Together we will reach a milestone for the first time with so many American flags in the men’s and women’s draw of a Premier Padel tournament. We hope this inspires current and future generations of American padel players to work hard in the coming years and push forward in their careers”.
The following players are highlighting the women’s field.
Brittany Dubins – The Miami native is the top-ranked player on the USPA Circuit and ranked 126th in the world. Dubins dominated the 2024 Nox USPA Circuit, claiming all four USPA majors, including the inaugural US Open Padel Championships. In 2024, Dubins competed for the USA at the FIP World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Marta Morga – Morga is the fifth-ranked player on the Nox USPA Circuit and ranked 178th in the world. Morga won the RGV USPA 1000, made the semi-finals of the US Open Padel Championships, and competed for the USA at the FIP World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The following players are highlighting the men’s field.
Nico Agritelley – Agritelley from Dallas, is currently ranked fifth in the USPA Rankings and won the 2024 Nox USPA Circuit Master Finals and played a critical role in leading the U.S. National Team to a historic best-ever finish at the FIP World Championships in Doha.
Vinny Di Francesco – The New York-born Di Francesco is a rising star of the US padel scene and has played a prominent role for the US National Teams in both junior and open-level teams. Di Francesco was one of the youngest players and a stand-out performer at the 2024 FIP World Championships, winning three of his six matches and helping the USA secure their best-ever finish.
Luis Fernando Ramirez, Head Coach of the USA Men’s National Padel Team, stated “I’m thrilled to see this Wild Card Tournament provide an exclusive opportunity for American players to compete on the biggest stage. In padel, opportunities are earned on the court, and this tournament is the perfect chance for US talent to prove themselves and secure a spot in Miami Premier Padel P1.
