Kaunas, Cassetta leads the men’s draw in search of the all-time record in the CUPRA FIP Tour

Record chase. Marco Cassetta could become the first padel player in the world to win 10 CUPRA FIP Tour tournaments. This weekend, the Italian is leading the men’s draw at the FIP Bronze in Kaunas. In the Lithuanian city, a regular standout in the circuit, Cassetta is aiming to overtake Jairo Bautista in this special ranking, playing with Josè Luis Gonzalez. The two will want to keep winning after their recent double victory in the FIP Silver tournaments in Egypt. The pair, ranked 98th and 97th, are followed by the Spanish duo Pablo Castillo (ranked 129th) and Candido Alfaro (ranked 144th) as the number 2 seeds.
In the women’s draw, the number 1 seeded pair is made up of the Spanish Monica Gomez and Alba Gallardo, finalists in the FIP Bronze Houten. The number 2 seeds are Carmen Castillon and Rebeca Lopez, ranked 79th and 81st in the FIP ranking.
The competition will take place from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16 in Kaunas, with 40 points up for grabs for the winners.
