Houten, Manquillo and Martinez aiming for a second consecutive win

The CUPRA FIP Tour is taking place in Houten, Netherlands. This weekend, a FIP Bronze tournament is being held with both men’s and women’s draws, each with 32 teams. Leading the tournament entry list are Leti Manquillo and Patri Martinez, aiming for a second win after their victory at the FIP Bronze Egypt I in February. The pair, ranked 61st and 50th, are followed by the Spanish pair Rebeca Lopez (ranked 81st) and Alicia Blanco (ranked 65th) as the second seeds.

In the men’s draw, the number one seeds are the French pair Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué, who recently reached the semifinals at the FIP Silver Rio Grande. In second place are the Italian-Spanish duo Jaume Romera and Simone Cremona: the new 130th and 88th ranked players, who are looking to confirm their success after reaching the semifinals at the Gijon P2. Also, keep an eye on Rodrigo Coello, the brother of Arturo (number one in the ranking), who is teaming up with Ferran Insa as the third seeds.

The competition will take place from Friday, 7th to Sunday, 9th in Houten and will award 40 points to the winners.
