Hong Kong, Padel without borders: First historic event of the Cupra FIP Tour in the Asian country

The CUPRA FIP Tour is being held in Hong Kong for the first time in its history. This event shows how padel is becoming a global phenomenon and will be featured in the Asian country with a FIP Bronze tournament that will have two draws, one for men and one for women. Leading the entry list of the tournament are Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanquè, looking for revenge after losing the final last week at the FIP Bronze in Houten. The pair, ranked 124th and 116th, are followed as the number 2 seeds by the Spanish players Adrian Ronco (ranked 131st) and Roger Aromi (ranked 150th), who are making their first appearance together in an international tournament of 2025.

In the women’s draw, the number 1 seeds are the Spanish pair Alba Perez and Ana Varo, who reached the quarterfinals at the FIP Gold Dubai. In the number 2 spot are the pair of Sara Pujals and Karin Hechenberger, ranked 73rd and 144th in the FIP rankings.

The competition will take place from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16 in Hong Kong and will offer 40 points to the winners.
