Hong Kong, Bergeron/Blanquè and Perez/Varo win at the first historic event in the Asian country
March 17, 2025
The first historic event of the CUPRA FIP Tour in Hong Kong was a great success. The French duo of Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanquè won the men’s FIP Bronze Hong Kong title, taking revenge after losing the final last week at the FIP Bronze Houten. The pair, ranked 125th and 113th, defeated Cattaneo/Vazquez in the final with a score of 6-4, 7-5.
“We are very happy with the victory in Hong Kong. A success that comes after five solid matches and constant growth, even after losing the final last week in the Netherlands. It’s always great to play with Bastien, now we’re focused on the upcoming tournaments,” said Johan Bergeron after winning the title.
In the women’s draw, the winners were the Spaniards Alba Perez and Ana Varo, who, after reaching the quarterfinals at the FIP Gold Dubai, claimed their first international win of 2025 by winning the final against the Guimet/Perez pair, who retired with the score at 6-1, 3-0.
