FIP has chosen Madrid: from 7 to 13 July, PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 of the FIP Euro Padel Cup 2025, the new European team championship format. Carraro: “Athletes will experience unique emotions”

New format, new name, new sporting horizon. And now, here come PHASE 1 and PHASE 2.
FIP announces the venue for the first two phases of the FIP Euro Padel Cup, which will take place in Madrid from 7 to 13 July.

FIP Euro Padel Cup is the new continental team competition that inherits the legacy of the European Padel Championships, created to project padel’s development into the future and to meet the high demand for participation from European countries with a broader competition.

Through close collaboration with national federations and Padel Europe, FIP strongly supported and realized this innovative project with the aim of expanding the competitive horizon, allowing a growing number of athletes to compete internationally in a team event, proudly representing their country’s colors.

The International Padel Federation, in collaboration with the FEP, Spanish Padel Federation, and Padel Europe, has therefore selected Madrid as the official host city for PHASE 1 and PHASE 2, where teams will compete for a place in the FINAL 8.The Spanish capital will host these two phases at PadelG24 Club, a top-level facility with 17 indoor courts, providing players from all national teams with a high-level competitive experience.

LUIGI CARRARO: “FIP Euro Padel Cup is a completely new format designed to meet the needs of the growing globalization of our sport and the great demand from National Federations for team competitions. PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 of the FIP Euro Padel Cup have been designed so that more male and female athletes can simultaneously experience the dream of competing for the European title while wearing their country’s colors, and the thrill of doing so in Madrid, a symbolic city for padel. I want to thank the FEP and all the Federations of the FIP family, who can’t wait to march onto the court under their national flag”.

THE NEW FORMAT 40 men’s teams and 40 women’s teams will compete in the first edition of this new format, which will consist of three phases:

PHASE 1 (Madrid, 7-10 July): Competing will be the men’s and women’s national teams affiliated with the International Padel Federation that are not directly admitted to PHASE 2 or the FINAL 8 based on the FIP Nations Ranking. The teams will be divided into groups, and the top 4 will advance to PHASE 2.

PHASE 2 (Madrid, 11-13 July): 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams will compete, divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each. The winner of each group will secure a spot in the FINAL 8, where Europe’s best will face off.

FINAL 8: The top 4 teams from the FIP Nations Ranking will be directly admitted to the FINAL 8, along with the 4 teams that secure their spot through PHASE 2.

The magnificent eight will battle for the FIP Euro Padel Cup 2025 continental title. The location and dates for the FINAL 8 will be announced later.
